Tis the season, is the incessant echo from many and particularly so the week before Christmas. I’ve been troubled concerning the orders given unto those givers from their loved ones and friends, thinking the objective was a presentation from one’s heart consideration of their periodic encounter (with surprise, not what they told me they want). Is there to be a 26th and is this exorbitant purchase to be cherished forever unto these recipients? Probably not, some won’t even say thank you. As the abuse emanated not from these ingrates of current times, but from the beginning of time, we too must endure (*John 15:20). The gift we’ve received with Christ’s entry, did so to best understand that giving is better than receiving.
