Today’s Thought “Sin’s Invitation” G. Ward

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.

Christian ambassadorship for every believer will alleviate the pain of humiliation. It first must understand the guidance of Heaven remains the portrait of an indestructible Shelter and the love from the Owner never wavers. Secondly and because faith in the same trusts implicitly, obedience is the sole factor for claimants in knowing the Landowner. When others view an unrelenting determination to be kept by the All-Wise Savior and knock at the door of the new home granted you (inviting play from a worldly standard), our Father answers the door stating that you can’t go outside…

Today’s Thought “Permissive, But Lacking An Eternal Benefit” G. Ward

Jude 1:7

“Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.”

Upon coming to faith, my participation in varied conferences enjoyed continuity among preachers that issued great warnings against assimilation unto an unsettling world. There was talk of no moral absolutes’ increase and the damage for many generations to follow. These discourses were known as “Fire and brimstone” messaging. Throughout Old and New Testament this is what we see in predominance and while some insist on extracting only those passages of comfort, their acclimation to what’s more pervasive (in the world), disallows them proper understanding that warnings are remarkably encourageable (cf. Heb.12:6).

Today’s Thought “If I Were A Rich Man…” G. Ward

John 2:24-25

“But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men, and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man.”

The many observances from man may determine that your spiritual connectivity onto Christ as remarkable; whereas it more suggests the ones with kudos for all you possess as unattainable for them in that moment. How dare any possess so much due to their Father’s unlimited resources to not consider clothing others in the finest garment available (cf. Lk.14:23)?

Truly our redemption cost the Savior everything, nullifying our contribution therein. It does however compel us towards service unto HIM that won’t relent, particularly with those feeling both unworthy, or confident...

Today’s Thought “Endurance, the Chieftain of Trust” G. Ward

1 John 2:18-19 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.”

Have we forgotten the message of God to the prophets? Sure, the compilation of God’s word unto man is complete, causing direct consultation with Christ, but it doesn’t discount the warnings throughout the holy script given us. How have you fared with all the messages of encouragement from the modern day messenger? Amazingly, many of those messages violate the contingency for receipt of joy and peace with echoes of guarantee as if any are good enough. Rarely, if at all is a life transformed (spiritually) when declarations are made without introduction of consequence in disobedience.

Optimism, for believers rejoices in Holy God’s chastisement, along with His warnings, calling it guidance in a weary land; while maturing daily, enduring great struggle and grief, still rejoicing because of HIS eternal presence.

Today’s Thought “My Opinions, Constrained” G. Ward

Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;  nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Faith is difficult; particularly as we abide in a divided land. The many perspectives of man remains entirely arguable and those deemed persuasive, receive trophies from great crowds (cf. 1 Cor.1:1-8). Sadly, elaboration from higher intelligence created documents lacking cultural relevance onto some residents hundreds of years later, with claimants of all-inclusive while sanctioning owning people and when that portion was dissolved, created a grandiose oppression thereafter that limited a segment of society freedom their progeny wouldn’t contemplate.

We’re now insatiated with similar echoes from Israel (1 Sa.8) that demanded “Give us a king” which translates our idolatrous mindsets haven’t cured thousands of years later. There’s a faction seemingly more faithful than the aforementioned that hope more days existed like July 4th that includes incessant chants of “God Bless America” than desire for Easter Sunday with songs of introspection like “Amazing Grace” and when any cease to become perfect facsimiles therein, they abhor the land.

As a preacher I don’t struggle with teaching any the highest regard in imitating Jesus (*Eph.5:1-2), but I must be reminded of Christ’s insistence unto those HE loves to “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there ARE FEW who find it.”

Today’s Thought “Claimants Without Authority” G. Ward

Psalm 33:12-15 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.

The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men;  From His dwelling place He looks out On all the inhabitants of the earth,
He who fashions the hearts of them all, He who understands all their works.

The celebration of graven images or shrines built for worship of other gods was a thing to avoid for God’s own. Moreover, believers are still compelled to live out heaven’s standard through avoidance of the very thing appearing evil, along with profane babblings. We’ve become puppets of vain philosophy that establishes myriads of factions; allowing our souls to be pierced by the next eloquent one. Soon, the Kool-Aid offered will choke those doubters of Final Authority to death and whereas an elixir of sorts was once made available to extend a life in a strange land, that journey (for the wavering one) is settled (cf. Ro.6:23)…

Today’s Thought “Heaven May Be Far Away…” G. Ward

Proverbs 24:11 “Deliver those who are being taken away to death, and those who are staggering to slaughter, Oh hold them back.”

Without provocation exists an ever-evolving position that soaks up daily grace and mercy from the LORD without consideration of insistence from that same Wonderful Savior to resolutely identify one’s change and then pursue another’s need for peace.

Chants of “God is good” and acknowledgement of another sneezing with echoes of “bless you” may certainly embody an act of kindness, but the mandate given by the greatest act in sacrifice called every believer therein onto uncomfortable accompaniment to a soul unaware of the gift granting comfort.

You can hang out at the Temple all the day long, but deliverance won’t begin until obedience has become personal insistence…
