Today’s Thought “Bible Toter” G. Ward

Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” John 3:1-2

Quoting Truth is more perceived than activity therein. Moreover, while intelligence seems admirable, worthy of medal presentation, the only test that counts will be that which embraces eternal positioning. Therefore, my Wednesday’s posturing desires obliteration so as to present WHO my Shelter is.

Today’s Thought “Without Proper Application” G. Ward

Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.” Ephesians 4:26-27

Have you ever blundered by an exaggerated moment in anger furthering great contention because a prior event violated your conscience? Frustration, although real to experience is without qualified management found in man; it must surrender to the Author of peace (1 Cor.14:33). The Shelter provided therein will disquiet future egregious acts; particularly when we recall being rescued.

A pattern established on Tuesday can ultimately be a habit worth emulating from an adversary once thought of as irreconcilable (*Col.1:21).

Today’s Thought “Heart Surgery” G. Ward

“Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men, and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man.” John 2:23-25

If/when you follow a man with great regard among men for a portion of the day, you’ll soon witness his humanity outside of perceived acclaim. On the other hand, implicit reliance on the Savior never fails (cf. Ps.139:3).

The character we exact on Monday should be concerned about Heaven’s scrutiny and judgment from others remains disquieted.

Today’s Thought “The Least of Them” G. Ward

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:35

Care is said to go a long way, while it demands we cease determining who may be worthy therein (cf. Jas.2:1-7). Paramount to perceived defining of what it means to love, we must first understand that HE is the Person of Holy God (1 Jn.4:8) and we’re His vessel to more establish citizenry in heaven, but many don’t want any part of that land based on our inhospitality.

Thursday must prove that HE alone is worthy via personal transformative thoughts of how desperately I needed my own sin washed, extending similar opportunity to any. Saying that some may be hopeless is to say it’s too difficult for Holy God.

Today’s Thought “White Lie” G. Ward

The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die!  For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:4-5

There exists Authority without diversity in thought from man that is synonymous with instructions for assembly unto something mechanical soon to become maniacal when tweaked according to a new rule.

Wednesday’s Believer-ship must absolutely avoid temptation towards deciphering a code with a holy standard whereby intellect (to do so) from man remains impossible (Isa.55:8-9).

Today’s Thought “Hide Me Please” G. Ward

“And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.” Romans 1:28

A curfew is given generally as a protective measure and Final Authority demands “to obey is better than sacrifice” (1 Sa.15:22b). Mankind is long overdue in coming home (cf. Heb.13:14) and the beating society gives is far more painful than a return that lends peace.

Tuesday’s insistence seeks to share to any, no matter how long you’re overdue, HE’s waiting (*Jer.15:19-21).

Today’s Thought “Inexplicable” G. Ward

“Good understanding produces favor, but the way of the treacherous is hard.” Proverbs 13:15

Another American school shooting on what was supposed to be Love Day and pundits of every kind are with presumptive analogies; even up to declaring certain mental impropriety from the assailant. The people of love (cf. 1 Jn.4:8) are shocked, having more adopted foolish opulence the world offers vs. truth in knowing that human existence outside the course of their being created are truly dead (*Jer.17:9).

Thursday must maintain vigilance unto HIS return (1 Thess.4:13-18) for the mindful reprieve necessary to exist among the perils of uncertainties.

Today’s Thought “If I Could Go Back…” G. Ward

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7

When humility becomes secondary, particularly regarding Holy God’s ability to enable the worst of who we’ve been (along with shameful expose’), then other eyes are soon to view another contradictory life that once stated, “Oh, how I love Jesus!”

Don’t forsake Wednesday’s peace by denying moments to remain small. Climbing a ladder too fast may cause you to miss a rung, whereby embarrassment is on its way.

Today’s Thought “Only the Best” G. Ward

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

To delude ourselves regarding our Heavenly Father’s demands by picking and choosing those things only favorable to our days, subtracts from the potential and needed contrition that keeps me running to HIM as refuge. It is required of every man to heed the consequence found in most (in both Old and New Testaments) who insisted on the principle of pleasure the world offers, to often view forced reconciliation as too late (*Ro.6:23).

May Tuesday permit an interrogation of my insistence.

Today’s Thought “Troubles Over!” G. Ward

“Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:17

While the LORD still accepts the faults of man through repentance, the process thereafter remains conditional (cf. Mt.16:24). Moreover, seeking to re-invent the theological wheel already set may very well enjoy many pleasures on earth (Heb.9:27), particularly as any have become their own leader (Mt.7:21), they will ultimately contend with a consequence emptying unto eternality’s misery.

Monday is given once again that our plans would be extinguished so as to allow joy and peace to become usual (1 Pe.5:7).

Today’s Thought “Do It for Me, Right Now” G. Ward

Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus *said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” Matthew 8:3-4

The earthly ministry of Jesus left no room for any to perceive Him as a rock star, but more sought to gather men unto an excellent premise of redemption, not miracles. While absolutely nothing remains difficult for our Great King, our marveling over the Creator of heaven and earth’s ability forgets we’ll have to report in or not (cf. Lk.16:19-31), as a childlike onlooker of magic, or as a child insisting HIS grace as sufficient regardless of earthly lack.

Thursday’s throwback takes no chance with Holy God’s granting moments; but asks what shall I render in the next seconds of mercy given me?

Today’s Thought “Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling…” G. Ward

“Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” James 4:14

The message of the gospel is without the diversity found in philosophy; it ‘s an insistence that our day with all of the magnificence of plans that yield pleasure, wouldn’t precede thoughts more admitting to a lack of control with next moments (cf. Ro.14:11). If the world that Holy God is loving, lived as if there were no tomorrow, today’s institution of love, joy and peace would be a common language for every land needing no interpreter (*cf. Ac.2:44).

Wednesday’s mayhem can be extinguished when/if we remain resolute to Holy God’s Omniscience…

Today’s Thought “Interrogating My Heart” G. Ward

So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” John 20:25

Universalism is the pervasive thought that demands what we’ve witnessed at every funeral insisting all go to heaven. Comfort in numbers identifying more with a premise from man, is the denial of “Truth” provided by Christ’s Sufficiency; but operating under the auspice of the Invisible is safer than the theatrics found in humankind (cf. Jn.4:24)

Tuesday’s witness must testify of personal intimacy with HIM vs. wavering belief that more relies on me as lord….

Today’s Thought “Categorical Intolerance” G. Ward

And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!” Acts 2:40

The ever evolving view of moral uprightness seemingly is the scale discerned by man’s standard. Altogether, yet privately, there exists struggle in his soul, although an inherent compass in truth is provided (cf. Ro. 8:1-8) and because of the difficulty in achieving the holy, righteous standard from the Almighty, he runs unto more uncertainty, criticizing others for the same.

Monday mandates change. Aren’t you tired yet?

Today’s Thought “Exercise In Futility” G. Ward

“Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour had come that He would depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.” John 13:1

While there may be absolutely nothing wrong with resolution for the New Year, the month presented us on today may be a good time to evaluate how well you’ve done. Contemplating goals of sorts will/can often lead us according to the most disciplined portion of one’s being vs. who they practice primarily (i.e. ever evolving, *cf. Nu.23:19).

When task is devoted to rightful Ownership (Ps.24:1), considering the generosity in HIS rescue, plans in personal desire are deemed miniscule.  Thursday’s theme must deny my tactic’s ability to take-off with great thrust to soon become another testimonial incomplete (cf. Col.3:16-17).
