Today’s Thought “The British Are Coming!” G. Ward

“Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Philippians 2:14-15

Controversy in America is so prevalent that it causes great narrative shifts moment to moment. Deflection is said to be the root cause when individuals insist on naming events of controversy without rehearsal of what Final Authority has instructed…

Although British Troops were hiding in the countryside of Massachusetts (Revolutionary War), Paul Revere never rode through town chanting, “The British Are Coming!”

Wednesday contemplates - To divide and conquer is the necklace of choice for the world soon to become the noose that destroys (eternally separating); while “LOVE still covers a multitude of sins.”

Today’s Thought “Are You Sure You Want to Know?” G. Ward

“My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:1-2

There’s unfortunate expectancy from the predominance in society regarding answers of eternal proportion rarely given by those esteemed by man. Moreover and sadly, even those walking in prudence seemingly stumble, not willing to share absolutes (i.e. right vs. wrong) because it may offend and is divisive (*cf. Matt.10:34-39).

I owe it to the whole in every generation currently to make myself available to the kind of questioning needing answers from an authoritative source and the regard shared must expeditiously and unwaveringly be willing to stand in Truth with mercy. The Apostle John writes to the church as an old man with horrid beginnings as a young man. His introspection looks to those younger (chronological and faith’s regard) as “little children” because he understood Holy God’s view of the entirety of mankind needing admonition, along with nurturing to the end.

Today’s Thought “Crunch Time” G. Ward

When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour the disciple took her into his own household. John 19:26-27

Disparity found in man is ultimate denial of truth. Holy God is One and has for-warned us that our temporal state of being must recognize HIM as Owner before an eternity is missed because of personal pleasure pursued by humankind remains lesser. Moreover, HE compels us in practicing conditions of what eternity represents. The family of Holy God will spend an eternity together without a biological parameter witnessed in earth that can subtract from exercising in true godly love. Instead, we must anticipate (via a practice of heaven’s standard) the inevitability of departure here by ensuring those (with dual citizenship, i.e. heaven and earth) we’ve loved receive unconditional mercies until their reward manifests.

Thursday seeks to determine, we’re the hands and feet of Holy God in the earth and both extremities often appear too arthritic to respond to the calling to fulfill while HE remains the Mighty Healer/Deliverer. I’ll trust HIM more.

Today’s Thought “Inside, Out…” G. Ward

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

There’s satisfaction in knowing that living through the righteous code given man yields a perspective in contentment. Moreover and if practiced (that is, character), it demands simplicity emanate from my intended existentialism, placing the spot light on my Blessed Redeemer, the Hope to all. When my reliance on self seeps through the desired impact, I fall. Indifferent from homage in normality, I remain down until Sufficiency picks me up.

Wednesday knows restoration is near and exercises in gratefulness. I’m nothing without HIM.

Today’s Thought “Walking In Receptivity” G. Ward

“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29

While many call HIM LORD and fail at the commands given them, my life on today is not my own to perpetuate horrid categorization on who may qualify. Moreover, while grace from Holy God remains Sufficient (both through redemption and provisionally), it’s also deficiently found in man. May I cease on today in appropriating evil.

Another Tuesday presented that I may encourage the disenfranchised, the oppressed and the presumed unlovely, because I too once suffered therein…

Today’s Thought “Heaven Awaits?” G. Ward

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31

Assurance perceived regarding the promises of Holy God is not accepting of conditional praise from man (cf. Lk.6:46). Altogether (and very particularly in individuality) our approach must represent a thirst in seeing HIS control reign supreme; not us as co-pilot.

Monday must prepare for the call of “May Day” to the Control Tower because a fatal crash is more imminent due to our taking the wheel. Will the Tower answer (*Pr.1:24-29)?

Today’s Thought “Urban Safari” G. Ward

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28

A God-Centered life walks circumspect of Superiority as their guide; nothing can befall them because they refuse to leave the Shelter of the Almighty. Moreover, a practice in surrender to Christ Sufficiency will overshadow that which plagues my righteous pursuits. It’s a shame to be bitten by the societal woes that poison unto death, when the antidote is near.

Friday’s awakening shouldn’t be presumed opportunity in continuing with principles of pleasure that never truly satisfy.

Today’s Thought “Forest of Redwoods” G. Ward

And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.” Mark 7:20-23

There’s no need to echo a redundant reality that says no one is perfect; all are familiar therein. Instead and not necessarily esoteric to believers, we should interrogate our souls to see how we (individually) line up with righteousness (for the believer the righteous code is the Word of God). Moreover, diverting attention unto another suffering in sin greater than my own is with the same demand for repentance, hating the very stain it causes (*Lk.13:3). There’s a common denominator to be perceived (inevitably and imminently) by everyone that asks “where will I spend eternity?” We’re certainly not good enough (Ro.3:10)…

Thursday throwback examines whose I am, then insists on conformity for assurance’s sake.

Today’s Thought “The Ultimate Smackdown” G. Ward

“For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot.” Romans 8:7

Spiritual deficiency is by far the most debilitating disease existent. It broods more horrid religion, purporting subjectivity that alienates (cf. Ro.10:13). The words from Holy God on the other hand, lend peace on the confession (of Christ as Lord) from the worst sinner. Generational discord continues because mankind (through God’s word) is compelled to empty oneself unto the righteousness only found in the Savior (Ro.3:10). While the predominance of the world seeks new and innovative, the old still offers rest (Jn.14:6).

Wednesday won’t allow the presumptive (via horrible analytics) to share what Holy God said without consultation with HIM personally…

Today’s Thought “My Nose Is Too Big!” G. Ward

“Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.” Psalm 119:73

I’m mesmerized at the amount and accessibility of pursuit unto excellence in physicality. Just recently, one of our most esteemed actresses (for this time) announced marital engagement to a younger (by 13 years) man (ex professional football player with a formidable presence still). He’ll soon awaken to a visual not anticipated that will witness her grappling in a not so pretty walk unto the restroom, that will question what’s really happening. Sixty-plus year olds have become the new 40 (through surgical procedures and cosmetics). I’m often pleased to hear great compliments regarding my youthful appearance, but the actuality in physical distress of many kinds is the regeneration given every man.

The essence of contentment is reliance on Superiority and His control. Seeking happiness more offers a temporal state in satisfaction, whereby misery will re-visit soon. Will I trust His rule?

Tuesday’s Success is more relative to living as a citizen of heaven, not earthly posturing; particularly when the next moment’s contingency is solely HIS to decide.

Today’s Thought Train Wreck G. Ward

1 John 5:1“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.”

LOVE, according to Holy God is without category, because LOVE is said to be Who He is (1 Jn.4:8). The objective for every man is not to regard it (love) for those closest to us, but to consider the least as HE does. The indiscriminate plan for man was made manifest through the work of Christ. How fortunate we are to be recipients therein! It’s not based on our good promptings, but our confession as enough (cf. Matthew 16:13-20). Societal chaos witnessed in these times is indicative of presumed belief; that is, confessions without works (*Eph.2:10). Sadly, when some are intentional with their testimonies (concerning HIM) the recipients are discerned by our shallow mindsets vs. indiscriminate. There’s another train coming, get off the tracks.

*Monday must keep in mind that when one comes off their knees, that what you just bowed down on doesn’t belong to you. You were created for HIS pleasure.

Today’s Thought “Outer Limits” G. Ward

“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:17

Freedom perceived without authoritative demand from Superiority places anyone onto a path of desolate destruction; while Holy God loving us so, desires to extend grace.

Thursday’s throwback recalls my limited guidance as synonymous with a wilderness experience while practically starving for food and water and deciding to pluck poisonous mushrooms to soon suffer a horrid fate. Only trust HIM…

Today’s Thought “Oligarchy” G. Ward

“Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court?” James 2:6-7

The term oligarch was that which appeared on a standardized test of sorts never to be used until this political climate of unrest re-introduced it. It’s deemed a rich person with influence. Our mindset settling for less than what the Owner of the world offers is the compromise that carries an eternal imposition (if not extinguished through repentance).

Wednesday must never settle for being impressed with what ultimately will be regarded as insufficient (cf. Mt.24:35)…

Today’s Thought “Categorically Impossible” G. Ward

1 John 3:16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.” 1 John 3:16

In a perfect, God led society, morality would squash ideas in selfish motives that subtract from redemption perceived (for any desiring HIM as Lord). The problem is the distortion of truth causes many realities to perceive that denies a one God reality (Deut.6:4-7). As believers we must remain vigilant with the demand given us that insists on being separate from societal ills (1 Jn.2:15-17). Moreover, be assured and encouraged to know the day presented you is Holy God’s mercy allowing your second chance…

May Tuesday allow someone else to perceive HIS redeeming them? That’s our purpose!

Today’s Thought “Looking Unto An Improper Source” G. Ward

“For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.” Romans 7:15-17

Very immature Christianity references goodness found in humankind to determine their own plight in Christ (cf. Eph.2:10). It causes grief, purporting inconsistent worship, along with great criticism that anticipates fallen-ness from spiritual leaders.

Holy God is able to deal with the whole of mankind heart to heart, thus our referring to Him as personal Savior; but don’t forget the connotation (personal). His judgment(s) weighs our individual hearts accordingly…

Monday admits, “It’s me O Lord standing in need!”

Today’s Thought “Embodying Hope” G. Ward

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

There’s a more excellent manuscript that continues as the best seller. It extends purpose for the least unto the greatest. Though many have obtained a copy, follow-ship therein more awaits a part-two version. Its unchanging characteristic has many familiar, quoting those catchy, inspirational phrases in philosophical parameter vs. Holy God speaking to man. When will we tire?

Thursday’s demand for an answer that accommodates my ever evolving mindset needs to be put to rest. HE alone is able.

Today’s Thought “Mundane, Entirely Inappropriate” G. Ward

Then she cried, “Samson, the Philistines are here!” When he awoke from his sleep, he said, “I will escape as I did before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the Lord had left him.” Judges 16:20

The world’s perspective of Holy God is mostly calling on Him as a spoiled child would upon entering a toy store with their parent. Our awakening unto yesterday’s despair is the same. It more reveals lack in pursuit of Who we call LORD, while denying the love relationship intended from Holy God to us. Moreover, the neglect in altruism (concerning the things of God) may soon require His shelter to discover more storm (*Pr.1:24-29).

May Wednesday find you faithful?

Today’s Thought “Who’s Behind Me?” G. Ward

“How happy are those whose way is blameless, who live according to the Lord’s instruction!” Psalm 119:1

The new day presented can often be weighty; particularly when peaceable resolve with others went violated. Our modern day culture insists that contentiousness with another be addressed that would foster better understanding. Moreover, for believers statements like, “we’ll agree to disagree” are antithetical to what Final Authority demands (*Ac.2:44, 1 Cor.13:1-7). Why? Because every answer is contained by Holy God’s words and when followed contentment rests therein. When our feeling violated has a need to be addressed, our subliminal mindset demands that dialogue intended with the person of contention answer on our terms, whereby argument persists…

Allow Tuesday to recall Holy God’s greatest attribute as “Love” worthy to follow.
