Mankind, when established by Who their Maker is, can be equated with that of a forest. It may begin with sporadic sprouts of what seemingly is nothing to become very tall trees. We can all testify to their thriving vigorously without someone watering them or pruning their branches that allow growth; their reliance also is with their Maker. Altogether and most importantly is not so much a contrast between animate vs. inanimate, but to know that all creation should be subject to their Maker and HE is the Grantor of growth (cf. Matt.5:16, Phil.1:6). One is soon to become many as obedience thereunto is chieftain (Lk.14:23).
