Today’s Thought “Batter Up!” G. Ward Psalm 119:42 “So I will have an answer for him who reproaches me, for I trust in Your word.” The perspective in God as Lord can appear a lonely one in that our surroundings each day visualize a governance unto themselves while yet claiming “I know Him” (Ps.73:1-17). Moreover, your position to remain in the statutes intimidates another without diligence in the same that may cause them disdain for you upon your presence. You’ll need to be reminded that Jesus will stick with you closer than any brother, along with knowing He’s always on the main line; while (in the same moment) never being satisfied with contemplations of them left behind (cf. 1 Thess.4:13-18). The lack of deference found in man will soon be over and as the children’s story ends “they (i.e. in this case, “we”) went on to live happily ever after (Ro.8:18); not because we’ve been good enough, but His grace remains Sufficient.
