Today’s Thought “Living for the Grace of God” G. Ward

“As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.” 1 Timothy 6:17-19

It’s been alluded to that a pursuit in career shouldn’t be determined on the money involved and if joy is the result, then mission is accomplished.  A fixation unto this pursuit can be cumbersome. It involves more uncertainty, than surety; while furthering a variety of failures as a ground work for knowing (unequivocally so) one’s destiny.

Can a great deal of failure really be a determinant in revealing a scope for life; or is it exhaustion from miserable things finding rest in first appearances relative to peace? Clarity for any man’s life cannot be his own quest, particularly when he arrived with nothing and will depart on those terms. The Maker’s objective for any life must remain ongoing (cf. Phil 3:12). It cannot relax in a limited wisdom, but must consult (daily) with the One who sustains life and judges the afterlife (Mt.10:28).

Happy Tuesday!
