Today’s Thought “An Angry Genre” G. Ward

“Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger.” Ephesians 4:26

With all our expediency towards technological advances and social impetus, we’ve forgotten to impart a basic standard in cooperating with authority that brought us thus far. It’s as if we’re saying to our predecessors, the boundaries they introduced were so entirely constraining that it squashed a potential prowess (for those prior generational zealots like me), disabling our blending thoroughly with the young stars of today. Hogwash! Understanding the existence of exclusivity throughout every sociological and employment scenario given us, is the responsibility we have in sharing (patiently) with those younger. It furthered proper investigation from us regarding the entity of our pursuits, allowing acclimation unto a presented code without compromise. Young people today, although capable in articulating laws that demand inclusion, fail to realize great war and sacrifice (even up to death), enabling current freedoms.

Now, imposed injustices are angrily contested by the violated, in the very moment of the perceived violation, without regard to the authority. Questions that may shed clarity unto the authoritarian go violated, assuming injustice vs. order. To teach denial, sacrifice, peace, contentment and resolve, is a message that transcends every generation (cf. Mt.16:24). It benefits every man and promotes continuity vs. war.

Happy Wednesday!
