Joshua 24 

15 But if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served, which were beyond the Euphrates River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” 

While good parenting may include a promotion of social integrity and an educational prowess that grants a great career, all won’t compare to the process of spiritual integration of God’s Word unto a child’s daily routine (Deut.6:4-7, Prov.22:6); and whereas great acclamations from many parents suggest how theirs was raised in the church – to then witness a presumed back-slidden condition (of years in the same) from those now grown, it wasn’t necessarily due to a failure to model moral behaviors, but a wrongful acclimation that insisted Susie and Johnny be diligent in home and school work (up to assisting them in projects and assignments), while hardly simulating that effort with the scriptures that grants life and it eternally. TODAY is provided, not to rehearse spiritual malfeasance, but to enact that to which remains MOST SIGNIFICANT.
