Ward 2 Timothy 3 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work. There’s an unfortunate pursuit from many who thrive on motivational sayings that can spur their days onto a less problematic set of hours in the marketplace; but how well are any when so many are seemingly intentional as a wrecking ball exposed to an old building? Disciplines given by our parents didn’t solely encompass “yes” but would often say “no” and whereas we celebrate how it introduced constraint unto “shiny things” ultimately harmful, it was truly instrumental for our regard in surrender unto the Most High. Humility, unlocks a receptivity towards the supremacy of the words given by the Almighty; never intellectualism, nor any philosophical approach (cf.1 Cor.2:14). While many grow in stature and prominence among men, they’re short-sighted in their humanity (i.e., not knowing what the next moment will present) and when there’s rejection to receive Holy God on His terms, troubles are enlarged.
