For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” On many occasions, I‘ve been approached with great quoting from those spiritual, seemingly relevant, from God’s Word. I’m bothered by their misuse and whereas local assemblies everywhere remain vulnerable to a perpetuation of wrongful application (particularly when unstudied), generations suffer with impressions of presuppositional thinking concerning words from the Almighty. The scripture aforementioned is with verses prefacing this phenomenal actuality that regards when believers are merciful, along with refusal of an attitude in condemnation and unforgiveness. When believers practice these spiritual regenerative behaviors, it produces a return unfathomable. Let’s all do better with eternal matters (cf. 2 Ti.2:15).
