The opening of this chapter portrays the very excellent avenue afforded mankind, the sufficient sacrifice Christ rendered for our sins; enabling our trust in His directives and example as less difficult to follow (5:3). While some question what may be acceptable to pursue, along with a wrongful consideration of other presumable, moral codes (unsanctioned), true believers always consult to what’s written by God (*2 Ti.3:16-17). No matter how many ascribe to the ways of man (ever-evolving), the Truth of God’s Word is unchanging and whereas echoes of no one gave me a manual to endeavor such monumental tasks presented, it’s just not true.
