Ward Hebrews 11 By faith he lived as a stranger in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; 10 for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. The antagonist would reply, “Gregory are you telling us to be nomadic by living in tents?” No, but Holy God would have our regard transfixed in knowing that no matter the land, true freedom isn’t granted from other men, nor through perceived geographical locality (*cf. Jer.29:7). Worshipper’s understanding must begin and end in faith activated; believing the Almighty remains the Owner of every land (cf. Ro.10:13) and allegiance to “God and Country” should have every man questioning personal ratio thereunto. In the spiritual realm, believer’s Thankfulness is affirmed through Heaven’s promise to be with and not to forsake us; to which I shall not be moved.
