Today’s Thought “Unnecessarily Boastful” G. Ward

“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20

There’s a common regression practiced by some of us geriatrical giants that appear as delusions of grandeur unto the hearer. It’s expressing how thin you were in your twenties, while individuals view you currently and compassionately, asking, “does it hurt for you to walk with all that weight?”

Referring to great philosopher’s (William DeVaughn, 1972) lyrics, I’m reminded how important it is in appreciating life as well as it is…

Though you may not drive a great big Cadillac
Gangsta whitewalls
TV antennas in the back
You may not have a car at all
But remember brothers and sisters
You can still stand tall

Just be thankful for what you've got
Though you may not drive a great big Cadillac
Diamond in the back, sunroof top
Diggin' the scene
With a gangsta lean
Gangsta whitewalls
TV antennas in the back

You may not have a car at all
But remember brothers and sisters
You can still stand tall
Just be thankful for what you've got

Diamond in the back, sunroof top
Diggin the scene
With a gangsta lean, wooh-ooh-ooh
Diamond in the back, sunroof top
Diggin the scene
With a gangsta lean, wooh-ooh-ooh
Diamond in the back, sunroof top
Diggin' the scene
With a gangsta lean, wooh-ooh-ooh

Happy Tuesday!
