Despair, Not An Option

Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
1 John 3:2
How many friends do you have? Immediately our mindsets ponder who then is genuinely interested in my well- being; those would be regarded as friends. I believe however there’s a missing component with our determinations. Those genuinely concerned comrades are entirely obscured by our antithetical perpetuation of walking by sight and not faith.
Jesus, our greatest Ally (i.e. Friend) shared how best to exhibit care. At John 17, vv.20-21, Jesus prayed to the Father; “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; 21that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.”
Magnificently and marvelously, our Savior prayed for us thousands of years before our conception. He thought of us then and continues advocating for us now. Our friendships are most difficult to assess (altogether), because the packaging is often entirely ambiguous due to our short-sightedness.
Many missionaries here and abroad are praying for you each day without regard to your past imperfects. Let’s begin celebrating the interdependence of such a wonderful fellowship in Christ!
Ultimately, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus…”
