I briefly watched a televangelist on yesterday while waiting on my opportunity to deliver God’s Truth to our small congregation and whereas this smiling preacher delivered words that would inspire a bank robber to believe that his recent endeavor was a righteous act (denying any corrective measure for man), tens of thousands are now more prepared to walk more tenaciously in their efforts of increase to deny the Almighty an absolute takeover to who they are (cf. Matt. 16:24). While I’ve searched for a happy prophet in God’s Word to find none, along with the days of the Judges and even the Apostolic Age that demanded repentance from humankind, it appears that our modernity has conquered sin (i.e. without sin – *1 John 1:5-8) and before you defer to our Mighty Conqueror (Jesus) as having paid that debt (*and HE did), remember - our struggle in righteousness continues, so what must we render?
