Today's Thought "For Our Fathers" G. Ward

“For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.” 1 John 2:16

I, indifferent from so many am without excuse for any lack in righteous conformity. I had all the exemplar leadership necessary to guide me unto great productivity and to ensure that my progeny could experience the same.
I was encouraged on last night to view a Grammy Celebration honoring what would have been Frank Sinatra's 100th birthday. Modern day young men and women of great entertainment recognition sought conveyance through song in perfect portrayal the music he once sung amidst a tremendous orchestration of instrumentalists with exquisite abilities. Amazingly, every artist placed top priority in dress and hair. I'm referring to the hairstyles permissible in your Father's home, along with clothing that appeared as if no one could occupy that outfit but them. On today I’m very thankful for the days of strong parameters; when parents weren’t afraid of their children. Our Fathers were also very forthright in sharing how time in earth is short, and then we die; so telling Frank Sinatra or anyone else who passed Happy Birthday may be futile (Eccl.9:5). They won’t hear it!

Happy Monday!
