Today’s Thought “Loud Talking at the Library” G. Ward Romans 15 3 For even Christ did not please Himself, but as it is written: “THE TAUNTS OF THOSE WHO TAUNT YOU HAVE FALLEN ON ME.” 4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. While we’re spiritually urged to make contentment our aim, many have more associated this with a wrongful delineation to mean believers are to exist in sterile circles and commune with others in like-mindedness, so as to avoid slippage (i.e., transgressing God’s commands). This kind of assessment from some can often render tags that deem us as arrogantly weird. Moreover, we then may be exposed to their watching our every step, ensuring perfection emanate from our beings and whereas blatant sin may not be named among us (in that watch), they could embellish (through horrid assumption) – unseen and un-holy scenarios plaguing many. We’re called to a preparation exemplified by our Savior (*Mark 1:35) that thwarts being reactionary in a way to prove they’re correct. STAY IN THE BOOK!
