Today’s Thought “Inner City Kid” G. Ward

Exodus 2:9-10 Then Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child away and nurse him for me and I will give you your wages.” So the woman took the child and nursed him. 10 The child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son. And she named him Moses, and said, “Because I drew him out of the water.”

From race-mixing to social castes, we’ve understood very little about the LORD’S creation. HE made them male and female (Ge.1:26-27) and every delineation thereafter is a social construct. The Chinese are not inherently better at math and all Asian Indians are not pursuant to ownership of a local fast food establishment.

There is however an insistence from our Creator that guarantees great residual factoring for the whole of boys and girls (*Deut.6:4-7, Pr.22:6). The commandment that makes any parent responsible unto their progeny never implied we take them to church, yet insists they become the church. Echoing that sentiment (i.e. “I raised them in the church.”) when a series of wrong turns occur later in life, won’t matter until realization is permitted via consistent attendance at your perspective place of worship to then become the accentuation of what home demanded through modeling while teaching what belief is said to be. No matter the culture or ethnicity, great potential is best imposed spiritually (cf. Matt.24:35).
