Today’s Thought “Supreme Purpose”

Titus 2:11-12
For God has revealed his grace for the salvation of all
people. That grace instructs us to give up ungodly living and worldly passions,
and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this world.
Grace,
perhaps is the most widely misunderstood spiritual phenomenon; until the
pursuit unfolds Christ as grace personified. It’s HIS example that demonstrates
life in earth for the believer is to be sacrificial, even towards those
undeserving (i.e., the whole of mankind) and whereas social media’s adherents
are propelling through this New Year with ideas of removing all negative
influences, have you forgotten His own forsook Him, along with rebellion found
in each of us and how we’re called as emissaries of His to proclaim ONE who
will/can forgive them, change them and make them useful in the same (*cf.
Matt.18:21-22)? Holy God is entirely antithetical to man’s vain philosophy and
while HIS pursuit of us didn’t waver because we were entirely unlovely (i.e., a
negative influence – Ro.5:8); cease on today in efforts of dismissal and trust,
“such were some of you” (1 Cor.6:8-11) …
