James 1

¹⁴ But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. ¹⁵ Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it has run its course, brings forth death. ¹⁶ Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers and sisters.

 

Our era is witness to great troubles among men no different than generations before. There is however, more claimants today from so many, with vehement expression in knowing God so well, that the very ordeal (appearing so complex) is merely a test HE administered (cf. Jas.1:13) and whereas most we’ll endeavor from trials expected are self-imposed, God’s become the bandit(?). NO! His greatest provision in this era remains the Lord Jesus. HIS Word is the escape and practice thereunto diminishes acts so foolishly impetuous that can even deliver death (v.15). Knowing God and doing what HE says is inextricably connected (Luke 6:46, Jas.1:22). Waiting and relying on some additional resource that seemingly soothes my wounds, will soon deliver even greater chaos; instead, run to the shelter HE provides …
