Today’s Thought “What A Wonderful World” G. Ward

Then God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them”; and it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:11-12

Louis Armstrong’s recording (1967) of “What A Wonderful World” is perhaps the most significant song for my life. The lyrical content speaks of the magnificence in creation, substantiating Holy God’s delineation of a most pleasant environment for His highest creation – man (Ge.1:27-28).

As we endeavor Springtime, the season for the first appearing of greenery, we’d do well to remember our responsibility as unchanged in view of the Master Ecologist’s assignment given man. On today, I’m so very proud of my wife of 31 years, who finally sought gardening as a hobby by planting tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage and greens, as a more excellent contribution. Now if I can get her to cut the grass…

Happy Friday!
