Today’s Thought “Feeling Sentimental” G. Ward

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

The days are becoming shorter and my physicality lies questionable. Yes, for me older is better. Sure my capabilities have lessened, but my mind desires rest. I’m very thankful to have reached this autumn because it more reveals that all my control throughout the years promoted insatiability in reaching another pinnacle. I’m now content at the base of the mountain, looking up.

I believe this perspective of peace and contentment is worth sharing and particularly with all the youthful mountain climbers.  The actuality for the life given may reveal more years to adopt the mode of surrender and denial of self vs. believing in yourself (*cf. Phil.3:3).
