Today’s Thought “A Bitter Pill” G. Ward

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

Hopes, along with aspirational goals of heaven’s reward sound loudly as we witness demise for so many. It becomes ever encompassing to hear “Homegoing” vs. funeral. Moreover, the pervasive “rest in peace” has unequivocally become “rest in heaven.” The question on today is concerning the infrequency of proposed believer-ship; what then is the qualifier in this great reward? Is it really death unto my perspectives, opinions, claimants of I can do whatever I please and Holy God taking me as I am, without expectation of total transformation (*2 Co.5:17)? May I persist in lack of intimacy with HIM exacting prayers that extract great gifts in material and physical deliverance, treating Him as a genie in a bottle (Pr.1:24-29)?  Is my familiarity with His words as it had been many years before (Ps.1:1-2, 119:11)?

Altogether, must the insistence of man perpetuate blatant disregard for his original intent (cf. 2 Pe.3:9)? More pronouncement of death is inevitable and may preclude your ability to hear it; WILL YOU QUALIFY (cf. Mk.10:17-27)?

Happy Friday!
