Today’s Thought “If; A Big Expression” G. Ward

“My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2:1-5

Monday morning challenges routinely are discerned without consideration of Sunday’s vow (cf. Jas. 5:12). Moreover, the motivation received emanated from the authority found in Holy God’s word. It’s always there that creation encounters selflessness. Painfully, it discourages my presumptive efforts in exercising what could be potentially hazardous and alienating. Frankly, it’s offensive unto the practicality presented by my earthly predecessors; furthering an implicit trust of my new ownership (cf. Ro.6:4, 1 Cor.6:19-20).

The contingency for peace will never reside in self-sufficiency. Hearing righteousness (cf. Heb. 10:25, Jas. 1:22), without a pursuit therein is futility.

Happy Monday!
