Today’s Thought Degenerative G. Ward
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
Upon awakening it was a dark, dismal, rainy day. Rarely in Georgia does it rain for more than an hour, but it appeared that it would rain all the day. There can often be an immediate subliminal adoption of the gloom the day presents. I, on today typified that gloom. It brought forth remembrance of those I loved so dearly that have passed away. Moreover, it reminded me of the brevity of life enough to aid in more excellent praise for having loved in this way. Amazingly, minor psychosis (although I never received such a professional prognosis) exists from time to time, in that feelings quickly go from happy to sad (at an instant).
These deeper contemplations should lead us in examining our potential end; as many will at one day reflect on us as a presence of the past. Prayerfully, my gloom (of today) will serve as a strong reminder to seize every moment possible in a way that would verbalize to loved ones how special they are. Happy Monday!
