Today’s
Thought “Does God Watch the News?”
G. Ward
Matthew 6:8 “So do not be like them; for your Father
knows what you need before you ask Him.”
The
visual society in mankind’s supplication will mostly consider strong pleas of
immediate help when turmoil persists (Pr.1:24-29), as if to say trouble in
earth is not permissible. Moreover, its exhibition forgets Holy God truly
remains “all knowing.” Reverence for HIM understands HIS transcendence, never
presuming that HE’S anything like man (Isa.55:8-9). HIS universal mercy and
love is beyond the scope of geographical lines; insisting HIS children’s
compliance in adopting brethren without parameter (Jn.3:16). When sectarian
pursuits in spirituality (i.e. me and mine syndrome) has become the practice
for any man, peace will never live there (*cf. 1 Thess.5:3).
