Today’s
Thought “The Tabernacle” G. Ward
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the
house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1
F. Scott Fitzgerald stated, “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to
hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to
function.”
Opposition
of sorts can be confounding and seemingly worthy to persuade another unto one’s
own opinion, but in most scenarios appears arrogant, while entirely
argumentative. Many adamantly reject this idea by insisting that their truth
will stand, formulating conformity from all; but this ideology discounts
centuries in the avoidance therein. Mine own adorations and contrition should
only insist my adherence towards perceived righteousness (Mt.5:16). How dare
any capitulate in perfectionist mode, epitomizing the worst opposition unto
Holy God’s Word that insists, “No one is righteous, not one”
(Ro.3:10).
Happy
Tuesday!
