Chronicles 20
17 You need not fight
in this battle; take your position, stand and watch the
salvation of the Lord in your behalf, Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not
fear or be dismayed; tomorrow, go out to face them, for the Lord is
with you.”
Being afraid
is certainly natural for the whole of humanity and our era has witnessed spiritual
encouragement given throughout Holy God’s Word unto HIS own to absolutely trust
in the guidance our Lord provides - that fear would turn into the joy of
presence and whereas Judah’s leader Jehoshaphat embodied great trepidation from
potential invasion with enemy forces (so numerous), he’d lead all the
inhabitants with fasting and praying, while believing that what the Almighty
did for the many spiritual predecessors, could also be his victory. The
immeasurable magnitude of our Lord’s response of such stalwart supplications
(*review our thesis) is written, that we’d be guided accordingly and to that
end – “The Lord is my Light and my salvation: whom shall I Fear?”
