Today’s Thought “Hold My Peace?” G. Ward
James 1
26 If anyone thinks
himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives
his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion in the
sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans
and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself
unstained by the world.
Every generation has had many to think of those perceivably
unproductive (i.e., morally reprehensible) for their era as the worst in
history and it causes their expression(s) to more embody great despair,
synonymous with horrid doubt that really states, even God can’t remedy their
hearts (*vv.5-8). Religion can really translate, devotion unto and whereas the object
of such faith unequivocally will state, it’s Jesus Christ, we must live as
being owned by HIM (v.1a); maintaining the kind of compassion HE had upon
looking at the multitudes (i.e., thousands); seeing them as sheep without a
Shepherd and whereas vs.37 of Matthew, chapter 9 is subsequent to such a phenomenal
example, the workers remain unfortunately “few.”
