Today’s Thought “Beyond the River” G. Ward
1 Timothy 4:7
“Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather
train yourself for godliness.”
Mid-term elections have been introduced as the quintessential
hope for America. Although we’ve been down this road before, that is witnessing
the House of Representatives (435 from Congress and 100 Senators) flip-flop in
partisan control to ultimately purport more conjecture than absolutism, the
predominance of our citizenry awaits justice from man. Historically, man’s
insistence for a king propelled him unto sinful unbelief. Currently and sadly,
the supposed “evangelical” searches in the same (cf. 1 Sa. 8), epitomizing hypocrisy
that empties unto blasphemy; because the populous is more familiar with their
political stance than eternal hope found in Christ. Apparently, we’ve all
become more than Christ, who dis-involved Himself in every political posture to
insist mankind observe their alien status that should depend on the King of
Kings…
