Today’s
Thought “Why So Angry?” G. Ward
“For the moment all
discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful
fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:11
It’s delusional
to expect a dividend check when no investment was considered. For this
modernity, it’s a synopsis for the lack in proper advocacy for our young
people. This generation’s outlook is bleak because so many parade such
permissiveness where structure is set in stone. When offers of indifference are
presented, many are said to violate creativity in young people. Not so very
long ago, Blacks were without due process (i.e. Jim Crow Laws), including
exposure to some schools violating Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka (1954), by desegregating in the early 1970’s. Parents
of our generation warned us daily of that kind of non-compliance. Therefore,
when adversity came (and it did) we weren’t reactionary; because real fear wasn’t
the police, it was our Mother.
Happy Thursday!
