Today’s Thought “Pragmatic Assessment” G. Ward

“And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:4-5

Here’s horrible trichotomizing (so please forgive me in advance): The winners of various oratorical contests (for young people) while urged to become preachers, or politicians (in adulthood), could very well choose pimping (of sorts). All seek (vocationally) to persuade men unto captive thoughts. Unfortunately many are reliant on eloquence vs. trusting substance via conviction.

More than demanding speeches in exhilaration (which come and go) that temporarily renders comfort and a pseudo confidence; there’s TRUTH that transcends generations (read our scripture emphasis again).
