Today’s
Thought “Selfishly Absorbing” G. Ward
“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How
unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!” Romans 11:33
Forgiveness (unfortunately) is more conditional than naught. Its primary
perspective in “forgive, but not forgetting” has become an acceptable trait in
earth (cf. Heb. 8:12, 10:17); while humanly impossible. Our religious front
echoes praise in receiving grace and mercy, without understanding its first
premise – restoration as if the violation never occurred (Eph.4:32). If/when we
exacerbate a notion that conditional forgiveness is acceptable, we deny
forgiveness of our own sins. Receiving a tremendous gift (Ro.5:8) without a
willingness to share in the same is selfish hypocrisy, guaranteeing an eternity
away from the KING…
Happy Monday!
