The United States has never defaulted on its debt, yet if Congress fails to appropriate the necessary funding, millions will potential come to ruin and whereas both sides (i.e., Democrats and Republicans) have utilized these times to hold citizens’ viability hostage, many experience great unrest. While I celebrate living in this democracy, my trust remains in Holy God, not legislators, nor in systems that can lend appearances for a successful life. Moreover, I refuse to awaken to words from God that solely suits my interests (e.g., that which embraces my desires). I’ll ingest HIS script, echoing the sentiment of the psalmist having said it’s “sweeter than honey to my mouth,” even when it’s against me. My every investment (time, resources and God-given abilities), must contemplate every breath, then attribute it to an apparent spiritual purpose, knowing that my Owner bestows it and when that occurs, “my living won’t be in vain.” Have Your way Lord!
