Today’s
Thought “Failure to Communicate” G.

1 Peter 3:1-2 In the same way,
you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them
are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of
their wives, as they observe your chaste and respectful
behavior.
In times past the month of May was
perhaps the season for great hustle in that weeks away would soon witness
marriages and graduations. The current pandemic has most certainly altered
graduation ceremonies as social distancing has become a preventive measure to
behold; while marriage (for this modernity) is less a consideration. Immorality
for our times hinder thoughts of monogamy, particularly biblical submissiveness
assumed as entirely subservient for times whereby headship in homes is entirely
subjective, even allowing toddlers to rule periodically.
Whereas Peter’s message to the church
involved a spiritual impression that would compel an offender onto peace, the
transcendence in subject matter remains. Whether through marriage or another
acquaintance, submit today unto God’s peace, so the one troubled by a worldly
standard would gain eventual rest (Matt.5:16).
