Today’s
Thought “Economic Stability” G. Ward
Luke 12:15
And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
Debt
to income ratio assessment includes statistical data that construes the consumer’s
purchase power. It’s a protective mechanism for those of us not wealthy,
promoting prudence in fiscal responsibilities.
Going
beyond the parameter of reasonable spending will ultimately promote great
distress and reveals/appeals to one’s superficial side. Our visuals of bigger
and better impose dispersions unachievable, comparable to owning a Bentley
while living in squalid conditions.
The
Word of God is supremely best, even promoting perfect peace and contentment (Phil.4:11-12.
1 Ti.6:6). While others pursue avenues in societal recognition, only being
received superficially, there remains an eternity whereby economic status isn’t
allowed. This in no way condemns the wealthy, but altogether insists on the
spiritual demand that invites the Most High as Owner.
