Today’s
Thought “Only Grandeur Please?” G. Ward
Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he fell to the ground and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.” Job 1:20-22
While more
songs and chants seek to convey comfort with an insistence that struggle for
man is not God proposed, His word declares numerous examples in opposite
(Mk.6:27-29, Jn.11:4, Heb.11:13,14,36-39). Are we truly prepared to receive
good and bad? Think on this: Many who lived more righteously than our current
wave in belief, died of sickness; looking forward to home whereby disease and
pain is non-existent. Our generational demand subtracts from prudent study of
God’s word, moving quickly unto narcissism and love (without proper
stewardship) of the earth (cf. 2 Ti.3:1-2).
Real worship’s
contingency accepts graciously, the things of Holy God, understanding that
usage by our Great King of Perpetuity is an honor and privilege. Take heart;
trouble isn’t lasting…
Happy
Friday!
