And Abraham replied, “Now behold, I have ventured to speak to the Lord, although I am but dust and ashes.” Genesis 18:27

Mercy rendered for any of us could be the work of another (cf. Jas.5:16). There were many of past generations (like me) that truly believed in Holy God, but failed miserably in contrition unto repentance (cf. Mt. 7:21). There however were praying grandmothers, aunts and uncles that understood our selfish plight (1 Ti.6:17-19) by patiently awaiting our change, while still modeling godly behavior.

Many of our generation await mentors for their young people that more reveal impatience than provenness (1 Ti.2:1). The best spiritual role model for the many destined for repentance is you.
