Today’s
Thought “If I Could Turn Back the Hand of Time?” G. Ward
“If I say, ‘I will forget my complaint,
I will change my expression, and smile,’
I still dread all my sufferings,
for I know you will not hold me innocent.
Since I am already found guilty,
why should I struggle in vain?” Job.9:26-29
I will change my expression, and smile,’
I still dread all my sufferings,
for I know you will not hold me innocent.
Since I am already found guilty,
why should I struggle in vain?” Job.9:26-29
Spiritual maturity’s gauge is not repeating some of the same offenses of
the past. Like some of you, I’m without innocence in this matter. Many times,
compassion takes over, allowing obscurity to overshadow cognition towards
righteous judgment. Surely, all are sinning and falling short of His glory
(Ro.3:23)!
Although I’m familiar with every man suffering in the same, it yet sheds
no reprieve in my mindset. Foolishly, I rehearse these self-inflicted
impositions many times over, which becomes sin exacerbated. Holy God awakening
us to HIS day (Ps.118:24), is indicative of granting a second chance. Sin
absolved by Holy God is so marvelously freeing for every believer (“As
far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed
our transgressions from us.” Ps.103:12 and He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our
iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:19) , so walk
therein! Happy Thursday!
