Today’s
Thought “Climatic Veracity” G. Ward
So Jesus said to them, “For a little while longer the Light
is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake
you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.” John
12:35
Well it’s here ladies and gentlemen! This day designated for expressions
of love to flow heart to heart. Men of frugality echo an abused sentiment heard
time and time again; “I don’t wait on the world to tell me when and how to say,
I love you!” Although your opinion may reflect this sentiment, is it a bad
thing to reiterate loving those around you? Yes, perhaps the commercialization
is out of hand, but it doesn’t mean our succumbing to the entirety of what’s
presented. Hand-made cards or letters can be far more sentimental than Hallmark
Collections.
Heartfelt expressions of great care are often the encouragement necessary
to endure life’s trials. There certainly exists a blessed assurance that Jesus
is our Savior and His presence should be Sufficient; but He’s given us one
another in a spirit of true interdependence (cf. Heb. 10:25), that
encouragement would be incessant until His return. So if it means saying Happy
Valentine’s Day for the many standing in the gap of despair, I’ve determined to
share how elated I am for such care! Happy Thursday!
