Today’s
Thought “Won’t HE Do It?” G. Ward
“Before the mountains were born or You gave birth
to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to
everlasting, You are God.” Psalm 90:2
Is it at all troublesome for you to hear prayers that appear so much alike?
What about the discourses by pastors; is it merely the courage to speak in a
theatrical voice, seeking great responses of supposed conformity? Where are the
raised voices from any audience when another may share God’s love for you and
me with monotone voices? Furthermore, where is the God sanctioned order in
promulgating HIS word to invigorate an audience (cf. 1 Co. 2:1-5)? Is not the
sensationalism of speech a temporal session in rallying the troops, and how
might it compare to proper equipping (pertinent to the individuality in the
Spirit realm) great audiences, compelling them to reach others in the same?
What would it look like if you took on the same character traits as the last
preacher who inspired you unto an individual seeking Truth? “Test
yourselves to see if you are in
the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves,
that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test” (2 Co.13:5)?
Happy Monday!
