Today’s Thought “The Principal’s Office” G. Ward

 

Psalm 139:1-2 O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

 

Prayer/praise must never incite recognition of God sufficiency/possibility without HIS invitation in referring to Him as Lord (Lk.6:46-48, Jas.5:16). Holy God is not a rich Uncle allowing us access to unlimited resources; nor is He a genie conjured by our desperate and immediate need for reprieve. God will not be mocked (Ps.74:22)!

He most importantly is not far away so as to preclude that any cannot sincerely call on HIM through repentance (Ac.3:19); it’s then that a new demand insists, “not my will, but Yours be done!”

Today’s Thought “Problem-Less Society” G. Ward

 

Psalm 63:1 “O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water.”

 

Analogous to courtship with a life mate is presence with Holy God. There are times when you just need to be alone with Him. It can/should involve transparency for your demand to give unpretentious love forever and to be adored. The relationship established by love trusts implicitly; taking all calls no matter if in the presence of an earthly king. It anticipates great counsel when weariness arrives that anticipates gentle resolve; counting on dialogue no matter the time. It boasts in the marketplace on how finding the perfect love desires the same for any who listen and seeks those lacking therein so as to introduce the rightful plan that grants in the same. The day is wonderful the more because HE chose me (Eph.1:3-6).

Exodus 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.”



Whereas human reasoning sought religious liberty through travel, arriving at shores inhabited by people deemed savages, therefore rationalizing the land’s discovery and whereas those many theologians then sought additional governance through documents purveying all mankind as equal with unlimited pursuits to never have contemplated times of incessant argument hundreds of years later via sectarian posturing, to witness those same documents carried in the pockets of its citizenry insistent it reign supremely more than the ONE already established from the ONLY adequate and whereas those introduced freely purported the land’s foundation with tools retrieved from a distant land were kidnapped, then equated with the rake and shovel and denied ancestral integrity and whereas those same granted pseudo liberties were then established by legislation of inferiority keeping them socio-economic zealots, segmented in barrels with walls lined with grease and whereas those same disenfranchised witnessed sanctioned violence by their racial oppressor for no less than a social construct given them as Black and witnessed those same oppressor’s delineation of scripture authoritatively demand that the KING of every king opposed race-mixing only as it concerned Black on White, we who believe love the oppressor whether he is green or purple through sharing that forgiveness that counts is only found in the SAVIOR who loved first and call your attention to a modification, whereas MERCY found me.
